China Anne McClain is an American teen actress and singer-songwriter who played Chyna Parks in the Disney Channel Original Series A.N.T. Farm from 2011 to 2014. She also played Isabel, in the Hannah Montana episode "Welcome to the Bungle", Kiara Tyshanna in the Jonas L.A. episode, "The Secret", Tina in the Wizards of Waverly Place episode "Wizards vs. Angels", guest-starred as herself in the PrankStars episode "Game Showed Up," and Freddie Facilier in Descendants: Wicked World. McClain had a lead role in the Disney Channel Original Movie How to Build a Better Boy. She and her sisters, Sierra and Lauryn, are also known for forming the group, McClain Sisters. She portrays Uma in the films Descendants 2 and Descendants 3 and reprises her role in Descendants: The Rise of Red. Due to being too busy to reprise her role as Freddie due to filming the second film , McClain's sister Lauryn took over the role of Freddie in Wicked World.


McClain is best known to kids and families worldwide for her starring role as music prodigy Chyna Parks in Disney Channel's popular series A.N.T. Farm, as well as her co-starring role as math and science genius Gabby in the Disney Channel Original Movie How to Build a Better Boy. McClain received an NAACP Image Award for her work in A.N.T. Farm.

McClain is also recognized for her starring role as the feisty Jazmine Payne in the series, Tyler Perry's House of Payne. A talented singer, she was also featured on the ABC variety talent competition series Sing Your Face Off, in which she transformed into and performed as musical icons Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, James Brown, Rihanna, and Michael Jackson, among others.

She made her feature film debut in The Gospel, as opposite Idris Elba and Nona Gaye. Soon after, McClain landed a role in Tyler Perry’s feature film Daddy's Little Girls, along with her sisters Sierra and Lauryn. Additional acting credits include feature films: Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2 (both with future Descendants 2 and 3 late co-star Cameron Boyce), and Hurricane Season, and guest star roles on numerous hit television series, including The Night Shift, Bones, NCIS, Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, JONAS L.A. and Hannah Montana.

McClain stars as teen superhero Lightning, in the DC superhero drama series Black Lightning, which debuted in early 2018.

Born August 25, 1998, in Atlanta, Georgia, McClain currently resides in Los Angeles with her family.
