Her dress is a sparkling light blue ball gown with a low-cut neckline, blue puffy sleeves, glittery sheer opera gloves, and glass slippers. She also wears a silver necklace around her neck. Cinderella in Cinderella

Cinderella as she appears originally in her namesake film.

After the death of her father, Cinderella was forced to work for years as a servant for her stepmother, Lady Tremaine, and her stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella. When they received an invitation to the ball at the palace, Cinderella got ready with a dress that her mouse friends prepared for her. However, her stepsisters destroyed her dress. Fortunately, her Fairy Godmother appeared to give her a dress and glass shoes, but she warned her that at midnight the spell would disappear.

At the palace, she met the Prince, with whom she danced, but at midnight she had to leave, losing one of the glass slippers on the way. Although her dress and her carriage disappeared, she still kept one of the glass slippers to remember that night. In the morning, it was announced that the Prince would marry the girl he danced with and that she lost the glass slipper. When Lady Tremaine realized that Cinderella was the girl at the ball, she locked her away.

Fortunately, her mouse friends, Jaq and Gus, rescue her. Although Lady Tremaine causes the glass slipper that the Grand Duke brought to break, Cinderella is shown to have the other glass slipper, which she tries on, and subsequently she marries the Prince.

Founding of Auradon[]

Cinderella and Prince Charming became the rulers of Cinderellasburg. At some point, they became the parents of Chad and Chloe.

Cinderella and Prince Charming appeared during Ben's coronation. They stood close to Chad and Jane.

  • Cinderella is derived from the French word Cendrillon, which translates in English as "little ash girl".
  • Her real name is Ella, being official in the Descendants universe according with her appearance in Descendants: The Rise of Red, but in the 1950 animated film it is mentioned her birth name as Cinderella. In some stories, Cinderella's real name was Ella (short for Eleanor), and because she would always lay in cinders, her stepfamily would call her CinderElla. The live-action remake, however, uses the original story's revelation that her original name is Ella, and some Disney-issued storybooks also use this as well.

Brandy Norwood as Cinderella in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella.

  • Brandy Norwood, who plays Cinderella in Descendants: The Rise of Red, previously played another version of Cinderella in the television film Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella for ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney.
  • Cinderella was actually rich at the beginning, even before she married the prince. This was exempted, however, as she was forced to work as a servant.
  • Cinderella's facial features and expression are similar to Alice from Alice in Wonderland and Wendy Darling from Peter Pan although the latter films are released one to three years after Cinderella.
  • Cinderella is the second protagonist to be raised by a villain, the first being Snow White, the third Quasimodo, the fourth Rapunzel.
