Queen Cinderella, known as Ella in her youth, is the protagonist of the 1950 animated film Cinderella. While she has cameo appearances in the Disney Channel Original Movies Descendants and Descendants 2, she is a supporting character in the Disney+ Original film Descendants: The Rise of Red. She is one of the heroes of Auradon, being the queen of Cinderellasburg. She is also the mother of Chad and Chloe.
Cinderella is portrayed by Brandy Norwood in The Rise of Red, while Morgan Dudley plays teen Ella.

Cinderella is elegant, warm, good-hearted and diplomatic. She was always straight-forward and pragmatic as a teenager, feeling that being forced to become a servant for her step-mother and step-sisters and the work she's subjected to is unfair.
Physical Appearance[]
In the 1950 animated film Cinderella is a beautiful young woman of average height, slender build, an hourglass figure, and a softly-shaped, kind face. Her skin is fair and flawless, and she has pink lips, and blue eyes. Cinderella's hair is a beautiful strawberry-blonde and medium-length with soft bangs.
In Descendants and Descendants 2, she appears with a similar appearance to the animated version.
In The Rise of Red, she is brown-skinned woman with a long light blue loose French braid that's swept over her left shoulder with a large silver crown. Her dress is a sparkling light blue ball gown with a low-cut neckline, blue puffy sleeves, glittery sheer opera gloves, and glass slippers. She also wears a silver necklace around her neck. In her youth, Ella still had light blue hair with curly bangs that was kept short and above her shoulders.

After the death of her father, Cinderella was forced to work for years as a servant for her stepmother and stepsisters. When they received an invitation to the ball at the palace, Cinderella prepared to go to the ball in a dress that was once her mother's that had been repaired by the mice. However, due to her step-sisters noticing that some of their own belongings were on the dress, Anastasia and Drizella tore the dress into pieces and left for the ball themselves along with Lady Tremaine. As Cinderella ran outside to cry, she was eventually visited by an old woman who called herself the Fairy Godmother and that she was there for Cinderella, eventually, Fairy Godmother casted magic from her wand to give Cinderella her new appearance which included a silvery blue dress and the glass slippers but warned her that she had to return home before midnight as the spell would wear out then
After arriving at the palace, she eventually began dancing with the prince but soon noticed that the clock was close to midnight and went to leave, even leaving one of her slippers behind, Prince Charming used the slipper to find the girl whom he had danced with the night before and announced he would marry the girl it fit. Cinderella kept the other slipper and was seemingly entranced by her encounter with the prince the next day which lead to Lady Tremaine discovering that she and the mysterious girl were the same person. After learning this, Tremaine locked Cinderella away and claimed only herself and her two daughters lives there, Cinderella was soon let out of her confinement with help from Jaq and Gus, she then returned downstairs. Despite protests from Tremaine, the Grand Duke allowed Cinderella to try on the glass slipper only for Tremaine to trip the Grand Duke's assistant causing the slipper to shatter. Cinderella watched as The Grand Duke became upset over the situation but presented the remaining slipper, as the Grand Duke tried it on the young maiden's foot, it fit and Cinderella was shown to be the girl at the ball, the latter then married the prince. At the wedding, she ran down the stairs and once again lost a slipper on one of the steps but it was given back to her by The King, she gave a kiss to the the King and returned to Prince Charming where she got into a coach and waved goodbye to her mouse friends who were cheering for her.

Cinderella and Prince Charming became the rulers of Cinderellasburg. At some point, they became the parents of Chad and Chloe.
Descendants[]
Cinderella and Prince Charming appeared during Ben's coronation. They stood close to Chad and Jane.

Cinderella and her husband attended the cotillion and stood with the guests on the party boat,

- Cinderella is derived from the French word Cendrillon, which translates in English as "little ash girl".
- Her real name is Ella, being official in the Descendants universe according with her appearance in Descendants: The Rise of Red, but in the 1950 animated film it is mentioned her birth name as Cinderella.
- Brandy Norwood, who plays Cinderella in Descendants: The Rise of Red, previously played another version of Cinderella in the television film Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella for ABC's Wonderful World of Disney.
- Cinderella was actually rich at the beginning, even before she married the prince. This was exempted, however, as she was forced to work as a servant.
