  • Procedures

Before a user gets blocked/banned, a three strike system will be operated where that user receives three warnings. These three warnings are meant to give said user a chance to amend their behavior and review the guidelines. If the warnings are not acknowledged then that user will receive a block. Warnings do not have an expiration date.

    • Strike One: Admins will remind user(s) to review the Descendants Wiki guidelines.
    • Strike Two: Admins will warn users about their behavior and tell them not to do it again.
    • Strike Three: Users will be warned that if behavior continues then they will be blocked (time varies based on violation)
    • Final Strike: Users are blocked from the wiki. Block lengths may vary depending on how severe the act is.

    Exceptions

Although most cases will require to follow the three strike progress, not all of them do. There are two exceptions: extreme cases and minor cases.

Extreme cases: Extreme cases are situations that require immediate action without warning. The user will be blocked immediately. Extreme cases include the following:

    • Complete page vandalism.
    • Discrimination of any kind (racial slurs included). This includes but not limited to:
      • Homophobia, Transphobia, Racism, Ableism, Sexism and any other offensive and outdated views
    • NSFW content
    • Promotion/endorsement of any of the following immoral/illegal/dangerous acts which include:
      • Pedophilia, Zoophilia, Necrophilia or any other act harmful to minors and/or animals.
      • Murder, kidnapping, robbing or any other crime.
      • Suicide encouraging/pushing comments.
      • Death or doxxing threats.

Minor cases: Minor cases are situations where the user is new and/or has not been able to clearly understand the policies.

    Rules

    1. All users must receive warnings for each offense they make.
    2. Each rule of the Descendants Wiki policies counts as a different offense. Therefore, a user cannot be warned then blocked for doing two different things. For example, if a user was bullying another and they got a warning, they cannot be blocked if they vandalize a page. They would receive another warning since vandalizing a page is a different rule broken.
    3. Users will be allowed to post on their own message wall while blocked. However, this privilege will be taken away if they cause trouble.
    4. The block duration increases each time a user gets blocked until it reaches indefinite time.
    5. Admins must check user block logs and warnings to decide whether the user should be blocked or warned and to decide the block duration.

    Expiry

    • 1 day - This is the least amount of time a user can be blocked from the wiki.
    • 3 days - Most first time bullying or vandalism offenses should be given this amount of time at the very least. This is actually where most penalties should start for first timers.
    • 1 week
    • 2 weeks
    • 1 month - This is the most amount of time a first time offender can be blocked unless the issue is very serious (threats, scares, etc.).
