Early life[]

Cameron was born in Bainbridge Island, Washington as Chloe Celeste Hosterman. Regardless of the pressure at school and fitting in, she stayed focused on her dreams of becoming successful in entertainment: "I became very passionate about [becoming an actress and singer]. I fully immersed myself." Her father passed away in 2011, when she was 15 years old. After her father died, she renamed herself legally “Dove", a nickname that her father had given her.
