Magic Mirror Snow White

The Magic Mirror as it originally appears in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

The Magic Mirror was originally something that hung on a castle wall, that was inhabited by a spirit, and for years, the Evil Queen spent her days asking who it considered the fairest in all the land as it answered she was until the day it told the queen that Snow White was the fairest. In a fit of jealous, the queen gave orders to a huntsman to kill the young girl and as proof, bring her heart in a box.

Although the huntsman seemingly did his task, the mirror explained to the queen that the heart inside the box was not that of Snow White but instead a pig.

Magic Mirror Graphic Novel

Illusion of the Magic Mirror in The Isle of the Lost: The Graphic Novel.

Inside the Forbidden Fortress on Isle of the Doomed, there is a room which holds a magic mirror, though it is not the one originally owned by the Evil Queen or Evie, it is said to be an illusion conjured up by the magic that still resides within Maleficent's old castle.

School of Secrets[]

In "Day 6: Phone" Doug mentions that all the magic mirrors were locked up.

Now merely a handheld mirror, the Evil Queen passed her old possession down to her daughter, Evie, and told her it was to help her in the quest to take Fairy Godmother's wand. Once in Auradon, Evie used the mirror to cheat during one of her classes, getting it to tell her the atomic weight of silver and then later of the location of where Fairy Godmother's magic wand was, the mirror was confiscated by Mr. Deley after Evie confessed to Chad Charming of her advantage though it was soon returned to her.

Now no longer super reliant on the mirror, Evie rarely used it, though she used it during a non-emergency during "Voodoo? You Do" by acknowledging that it was still part of her life and brought it up to the mirror that she still cared about it to prevent the spirit from becoming jealous and still carried it around with her during "Chemical Reaction". Upon needing to know where Zevon was, Evie used her mirror to ask where he was as the situation seemed dire in "Mal-lone".

Descendants 2[]

Upon noticing Mal using her spell book to keep up to date with her new duties as Lady-in-waiting of Auradon, Evie told her that the book belonged in the museum alongside her mirror.

Escape from the Isle of the Lost: A Descendants Novel[]

In an effort to locate Mal, Evie brought Jay and Carlos to her old home where she called upon the spirit of the original Magic Mirror where it showed the three various locations of where Mal was before the three realised where the latter was.

Attempted users include[]

  • Chad Charming - He tried to ask Evie's mirror where her cell phone was, but Evie told him it didn't work for him.
  • CJ Hook - Attempted to locate something only to learn that only Evie and her mother could use it.

Trivia[]

  • The spirit shown in the mirror during Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs can be seen as a mask in Dr. Facilier's shop in Descendants: Wicked World.
  • Only the Evil Queen and Evie can use the mirror as it does not answer to anyone else.
