In the film, both teams came under attack by the suits of armor that Audrey had enchanted. Throughout the song, Mal and Uma fight for control of the group while Evie tries to have them get along. In the end, they join forces and win against the armor and defeated them. Their alliance during this fight is what caused Evie to try get them to get along further however it does not work and the group leave the room to continue their quest to save Auradon and stop Audrey.
