The Spinning Wheel is an object cursed by Maleficent and was the object she declared Princess Aurora would prick her finger on upon turning sixteen, it is currently inside the Museum of Cultural History. It originated from Sleeping Beauty.

Upon arriving at the christening of Princess Aurora, Maleficent declared that once the Princess turned sixteen, she would be lured into pricking a finger on a spinning wheel where she would be killed, Merrweather averted the curse so that Aurora would fall into a deep slumber, King Stefan then had all spinning wheels destroyed in order to save his daughter.
When Aurora was returned to her parents, she was left to grieve in another room where she was then lured into a secret passageway and up a flight of stairs where she pricked her finger, she was then laid to rest until the curse was lifted, Prince Phillip then broke the spell upon kissing Aurora.
