The Council of Sidekicks attend a meeting hosted by Prince Ben where they demand to be compensated for all their work and mention several of their other friends and allies, such as the woodland creatures and Ariel's sisters, also wish to be compensated for their help. Later on, Ben comes up with a plan which he explains to Grumpy that acknowledges all the work done by the council and their friends to which Grumpy praises Ben for his plans.
When in meetings, the human members of the Council have to use magical communicators in order to understand their animal allies such as Pongo, Perdita, Jaq, Mary and Gus.
In the graphic novel adaptation, Gus, Ariel's sisters and most of the members of the Seven Dwarfs are absent from the meeting; In the case of this last group, only Grumpy was present.
It becomes known that they want their efforts acknowledged and to be paid for what they do.
